One of the best things about a girls’ trip is all the products and clothes you get to learn about and try out via your girlfriends. I love seeing what my friends are using and loving and picking one or two things to get for myself that fills a void.
If you read my inaugural post, you’ll already know that this past weekend I had an amazing couple of nights at Southall Inn with two close girlfriends (both of whom have amazing taste and one of whom is a creator and Substack writer that you should follow).
Some of our collective favorites from the weekend are below. My biggest product takeaway was that I desperately need new luggage (mine is Samsonite from Costco circa 2006…) and I think I’m going to copy Emily and get the below from Away because I prefer a soft rolling bag that can expand when I inevitably bring more home than I left with.

Thinking about what’s next
This is my last week at Lalo as I transition off. It’s becoming more and more real. I posted to LinkedIn and have been notifying external partners. I’m going to really miss working with my coworkers who have become friends, as well as the amazing brand partners I’ve met along the way.
That said, I believe things happen for a reason and I’m excited to explore what the universe is telling me.
I purchased the above Reset Guide over the weekend and started it this morning. Loving it so far as a way to collect my thoughts because if I let it, my anxiety will run rampant. So, I’m trying to focus more on the positive and all that I have to look forward to these next few months. I’m looking forward to more writing (in print & here) this spring and summer. Some more things I’m looking forward to:
visiting dear friends who have had babies this spring
spending time with my own babies (Hazel starts “preschool” in the fall & Luke starts Kindergarten!)
going Up North a lot this summer
taking up tennis with friends on Tuesday evenings
evenings and weekends at our neighborhood pool club
spending quality time with my family, my parents included
more time at the barn horseback riding
reading!
pilates at 11am on a Tuesday (or whatever random time on a weekday that I couldn’t do before)
library baby story hour
learning more about Canva & Substack (I mean I have to say… I’m pretty proud of myself for that collage above! Thank you, Em for showing me how to do it!)
getting some freelance work that I can dial up & down while I figure out my next full time gig (please holler if you know someone!!)
What are you looking forward to?
x Ariane
Can I join you at Pilates ?!??
Hi Arianne!! Love your collage :) I think a lot of us in the marketing world are in similar boats these days re: freelancing/full time so I am excited to see how you explore it. Congratulations!
